Description
The IBEC/CBI Joint Business Council has twin objectives of stimulating cross-border trade and making business on the island of Ireland more competitive. The Joint Business Council is a partnership of the Irish Business Employers Confederation and the Confederation of British Industry in Northern Ireland.
The work programme has been identified under three strategic objectives: to represent business in relation to cross-border policies, programmes and initiatives; to improve the infrastructure and related services on an island of Ireland basis: to strengthen cross-border science and technology networks and links with business and to ensure that specific business needs and opportunities are addressed by appropriate cross-border partnerships and industry associations.
