Obstacles to [Cross-Border] Mobility project
Last saved: 22 November 2005
Following a preliminary study a Steering Group of the North/South Ministerial Council, in September 2000, commissioned a Study of Obstacles to Mobility between the two parts of the island of Ireland. Following a public tender process, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Indecon Economic Consultants were appointed to carry out a study. Subsequently the Steering Group has commissioned both a public consultation on the report and a scoping study of the information provision dealing with cross-border mobility.
The work on obstacles to mobility has broadened into ongoing discussions about the best way to remove these on the island through information signposting and other initiatives.
